THE ROLE
With a growing number of events and clients, there is now the opportunity for an Events Technical Project Manager to come onboard and be responsible for managing all technical aspects of the conferences & events business, as well as managing & leading a team to deliver the technical aspects of the business.
This is a broad role that includes:
- Manage the delivery of all technical requirements and instructions as dictated by an events brief.
- Manage third party technical service providers to deliver technical support for events with a high technical demand.
- Manage freelance agreements, contracts and invoices.
- Up-selling technical services to event organisers to drive profitability.
- Manage and coordinate technical bookable resources within Events500.
- For all events ensure all risk assessments are generated, circulated and stored.
- Support all aspects of set up, fit-ups, de-rigs and get-outs to include preparation of lighting, production and AV equipment prior to events.
- Support the operation of equipment, including the lighting control desks, stage electrics, sound desk etc. during events if required in the absence of staff.
- Plan the set up and delivery of various events within the venue's portfolio.
- Managing an inventory of technical equipment.
- Forward planning and coordination of all resources required to deliver technical elements of all events.
- Liaise with partners regarding the physical and technical specifications of their events.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience of working within an events venue or similar from a technical delivery and management perspective. You must be proficient across all technical AV elements including lighting, graphics and sound.
